It’s been a long day if you are walking the Pennine Way, whether north from Middleton in Teesdale, or south from Alston. It may well have been damp under foot and you just don’t fancy putting up the tent again!
Nestling at the foot of High Cup Nick and Cross Fell, Shepherds Hut in Dufton is the perfect place to stop and recharge for the night with a little piece of glamping luxury to recharge ready for the next leg of the ‘Way’.
Shepherds Hut is a cosy former potting shed in a secluded part of our garden, refurbished to glamping standard! There are 2 single beds (linen can be hired if required) and a log burner so that you can warm your bones and dry your clothes. You have your own shower and toilet and also a cooking preparation area with sink and microwave. Outside you are welcome to share our garden during your stay.
Why not stay a couple of nights or more? Shepherds Hut is perfect for longer stays and has safe cycle storage for those wanting to explore the quiet lanes of the Eden Valley on their bikes.
Shepherds Hut is dog-friendly too and welcomes one well behaved dog.
