Still water in this magical place. Enough for a paddle or dip if you are brave. Lovely walk through a stunning valley.
Take a picnic and spend some time relaxing listening to the waterfalls.

What a fabulous annual event Brougham Hall Wartime Weekend. Especially poignant with the VE celebrations this year. Totally humbled listening to William talking about the wartime exploits of his amazing Dad in the Reconnaissance Regiment and Jonathan (with William) about his uncle in the GHQ Liaison Regiment.
What an amazing event, truly bringing to life ordinary people doing amazing things.

No music needed. Our annual pilgrimage to the beautiful bluebells at Flakebridge. One of the many guided walks from the door we leave in Shepherds View. The noise from the bees and the birds is intoxicating, but impossible to capture on video, like the scent. Don't forget to take a flask and dwell a while to listen, and relax...
