Work begins at Dufton Barn Holidays!

After many, many months of planning, we are delighted that work has begun on Shepherds View at Dufton Barn Holidays!

You might be forgiven for thinking that our dream of creating a luxury holiday barn has been so long in the planning that it would take easily as long to turn the dream into reality. Not so! Only week 3 of the build and the progress is amazing!

It hardly seems any time at all since Keith moved in with his digger to dig out old cobbles for ground insulation. Building work started on 9th October and since then the place has been a hive of activity! The drainage route has gone in, insulation laid under what will be the kitchen and Simon has already finished pointing 3 sides of the barn! We have been further developing the interior styling with a mood board the size of one wall and spent many a happy hour choosing the various luxury fixtures and fittings that will complement the chic interior styling!

This week has seen the kitchen and hallway take shape – any time soon, we will have some windows!

As a newly available self-catering property, we have set our sights on being accepted as a Premier Cottages Member in 2018. We know we have a lot of hard work to do first to create a beautiful holiday rental home that will sit proud within such a prestigious collection of self catering properties!

After all, Premier Cottages is the leading collection of 4* and 5* self catering properties in the UK, but with our aspirations and determination high, we feel it is only a matter of time before Dufton Barn Holidays becomes a Premier Cottages Member!
